Does my crown look big in this: Twenty-two-year-old designer Laveleska Dredrish was crowned Miss Gay Nicaragua 2012. She promised to continue the fight for the gay community's rights

Miss Gay Nicaragua merupakan acara kemuncak pada kalendar komuniti gay sejak awal tahun 1980-an.Sebanyak 13 peserta akan berjuang untuk merebut gelaran gah bagi golongan gay di sini dengan mempertonjolkan pemakaian, kemahiran menari dan sebagainya di hadapan panel hakim.



Para peserta akan memakai payudara palsu dan pad untuk membuat punggung mereka kelihatan montok.Tahun ini, Laveleska Dredrish, seorang pereka berusia 22 tahun dinobatkan sebagaiMiss Gay Nicaragua 2012.Dredrish berjanji untuk memperjuangkan hak-hak kebebasan masyarakat gay



.Hakim memilihnya sebagai juara kerana selain wajahnya yang cantik, Dredrish juga anggun dan fasih bercakap.Gaun kemenangan Dredrish pada malam itu bertemakan puteri duyung berwarna aqua-marin.

We want the show, we want the show: An audience featuring some lavishly dressed drag queens watches the 2012 Miss Gay Nicaragua beauty contest


Bird's eye view: The contest is internationally famous and has been going since the early 1980's. Contestants must parade in swimsuits, ball gowns and fantasy frocks before showing off their dancing skills in front of the judges
